Rose and Coconut Lip Balm

You will need:

1/8 cup organic coconut oil
¼ cup Beeswax
1/8 cup shea butter
1 teaspoon coconut extract
¼ cup fresh rose petals
1 teaspoon sweet almond oil

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in a small Pyrex container or saucepan and heat over low fire to melt everything. You can also pop the ingredients in the microwave and heat in 30-second intervals until everything is completely melted.

After melting all the ingredients, pour the liquid balm in sanitized lip balm pots, rose petals and all. Leave the lip balm to cool for 2 to 3 hours and they are ready to use! This recipe yields about 6 pots of lip balm.

Classic Peppermint Lip Balm

You will need:

8 drops of peppermint essential oil
2 tablespoon almond oil
1 tablespoon beeswax pellets
A glass dropper
A glass jar
Lip tins or lip pots
Lipstick shavings for tint

Instructions

Put two tablespoons of almond oil and a tablespoon of beeswax in a glass jar and close the lead. Heat the jar in a pot of water with medium high heat. Once the wax has melted, remove the jar from the heat and stir.

Add the peppermint essential oil and stir well. Drop the lipstick shavings for added color and adjust the tint accordingly. Pour the finished mixture on sanitized lip tins or lip pots and leave them to harden for two to three hours.

Kool-Aid Lip Balm

You will need:

4 tablespoons raw coconut oil
3 tablespoons shea butter
1 tablespoons beeswax, shaved
A dash or a pinch of your favorite Kool-Aid flavor
Lip tins or lip pots

Instructions

Mix the raw coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax in a small glass bowl and melt using low heat. You can also stick the bowl in the microwave to melt the base wax. Stir the oil and wax very well and heat for 1 minute. Now, mix the Kool-aid liquid or powder to achieve the desired color and flavor. Stir the Kool-aid very well and pour into lip tins or pots. Finally, pop these babies in the fridge for an hour or two to harden.

Decadent Choco-Mint Lip Balm

You will need:

1 teaspoon raw coconut oil
1 teaspoon pure almond oil
1 teaspoon cocoa butter
3 to 4 drops of vitamin E
1 to 2 drops of peppermint essential oil
3 to 4 pieces of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Lip tins or lip pots

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in a small heat safe bowl and set aside. In a small saucepan, heat about an inch of water on medium low fire until the liquid is gently simmering. Place the heat safe bowl on top of the steaming water but hold it so the bowl does not touch the water.

With a small spoon, melt all ingredients and stir continuously for at least 3 to 5 minutes. Once you achieve a smooth consistency, pour the mixture on sanitized lip pots. Leave the mixture to harden for an hour or two.
