These days the commercials for beauty products seemed to be endless. You can see them on television and even on social media. Turn on YouTube and you will see tons of women endorsing these products; not to mention the idea behind using makeup to enhance that beauty. Don’t get me wrong, I think wearing makeup is great especially when you had a rough night. Makeup can always cover up those dark circles under your eyes and even lessen the weight off your saggy eye bags! Yes, makeups and these cosmetics can do wonders but do you really have to wear all that just so you can feel beautiful?
We are all created to be different. Look at our skin tones, our hair types, eye colors etc. In short, we are uniquely beautiful in our own way! Now while these makeup help, there are also other ways for you have that lasting beauty. Here are some ways to stay beautiful without the need to put on makeup!
Have enough sleep
According to research, the best way to replenish old cells is to create new ones and our cells work more while we are sleeping. Why do you think people call it beauty rest? This is because when our bodies are at rest, our cells regenerate. When old cells are replenished, we feel more alive and active! So make sure that you get the 8 hours of sleep or more. Try not to stay up so late if you can (unless of course you are doing a project), create a sleeping routine that is favorable. This way your body can regenerate the cells needed to replace the old ones.
Eat a healthy and balanced diet
this may be on repeat but fruits and vegetables are very important. Since our body can only do so much, we need our fruits and vegetables to help it manufacture the nutrients it needs. Avoid eating too much junk and carbonated drink; this will only cause pimples and skin irritations. Now you really don’t want to deal with that, right?
Protect your skin
Since we often expose ourselves to the daily toxins of the outside world, it is important that you know how to take care of your skin. Shower daily to scrub off the grit and grime. Use products that protect you from the sun. Now they say the sun is good for the skin, I agree but that was back when our UV layers aren’t as harmful as it is today. So choose a lotion or sun protect that can help you from that. It’s the secret to a healthy looking and younger skin.
Some people don’t do this often and I have known a few who’d just sleep with their makeup on or not even taking a shower before going to bed. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a no-no! Keep in mind that makeup clogs the pores of your skin and not washing your face or taking a bath before going to bed is a disaster. Now if you value your face and body, let it breathe. Wash off makeup as soon as you can. Don’t let it stay more than 24 hours on your face. A clogged pore accumulates dirt and oil and when they are there for too long, pimples will form. Brush your teeth and floss them. Use loofa and other products to scrub off the dirt in your body. This is the best way to go.
