How to Freeze Whole Strawberries

Freezing strawberries is easy however you need to consider a few things so you will have satisfying outcomes. In order to freeze strawberries successfully, timing is the key. This means you have to freeze them as close as when they were harvested. This way the flavor and nutrients are retained even if they have been frozen for a long time.

In order to freeze strawberries you need to rinse them first in cool water. Make sure to take them off water as soon as you can. Keeping them longer in water can actually lose their flavor. Once you are done rinsing, drain them in a strainer. After all the excess water is drained, pat them dry with an absorbent towel.

Place the berries in a pan and remove the ones that are spoiled. You can keep them in your organic compost if you like or just throw them away; it’s entirely up to you.
