Organic Eggs

Although it sounds healthy when the eggs are described as “organic” or “free range” and the likes, these eggs will not guarantee you that they are indeed salmonella-free. However, you can choose to be a smart buyer when it comes to selecting the eggs that you would like to buy.

Checking the eggs before buying them can ensure that they are free from bacteria. See if there cracks or leaks first and refrigerate them immediately. Putting your eggs at 45 degrees Fahrenheit or below can reduce the chance for bacteria to multiply.

Cooking your eggs thoroughly can kill any bacteria present. Washing your hands and cooking utensils before cooking eggs can also reduce the presence of any bacteria in the egg.
